Set it and forget it

Before our blogger-to-reader relationship goes any further, there’s something you need to know about me. You’ve probably already figured it out, and you may have even heard this from other people, but the only way to know for sure is if you hear it from me.

I fall in love with ideas a lot more than I should.

There. Now it’s all out there for everyone to see. I’m glad I got that off my chest. Of course, embedded within this confession is a strong sense of idealism but a lack of real action, but trust me, I’m working on it. Websites and organizations like Leadnow and Kickstarter make me believe that change in the digital age really is possible. Movements run on stories, creativity, socialization, and dedicated leadership. After all of that is influence (be it through trend-setting, celebrity backing, network of allies, etc) and monetary support.

Let’s get rid of the mindless and become more mindful. Swap out last year’s fatalism for this year’s involvement. College students of the world unite! We’ve got this.
