Today I spent my afternoon with a kindergartener at Carnival 4 Kids and yes, I almost exploded from the cute.
I think one of the best feelings in the world is that warm embrace (literally or figuratively) that comes with someone’s support. Shoulder squeezes, reassuring smiles… they all give people a reason to believe. Encouragement – real, heartfelt encouragement – that’s magical. Whether you’re a twenty-one-year-old running for student body president or a six-year-old trying to win a carnival game, these words and gestures really make a difference.
In other news, the next week will be one of writing papers, starting a new job, an oral presentation, and a job interview. By the end of that week I’ll be off to a Yellowcard concert with some good friends and hello Easter break. Then three weeks and my first year of college will be over. Goodness gracious.
